2nd Christmas in Arizona - Tucson This Time

Rainy Christmas in Tucson, 2008:

Tucson, Arizona:

Pam and I had requested a time-share exchange in Tucson this winter. It just happened that we got the week of Christmas. Last year, we were in Sedona, Arizona for Christmas. It's not an annual plan we conceived, but just the way it worked out.

While here, we'll do some hiking (weather permitting), walk through historic Tucson, visit an art museum, go to the Sonoran Desert Wildlife Preserve, attend a Christmas eve service, and then tour the Pima Air Museum. Tucson, is a very flat city surrounded by tall desert mountains. That was very evident while we were here as it rained almost every day and evidence of good drainage is scarce.

Friday, we went to the Pima Air & Space Museum. I took so many photos, I made a separate page for that day. That page is: Tucson Part II - Pima Air Museum, December 2008.

This is more of a zoo than a museum. It's very nice, but
it's also probably better seen in any season but summer.
