Coronado, California - July 2001
Hotel Del, Navy Seals, Lots of Veterans

Coronado

The Hotel del Coronado has the honored distinction of the being, in 1986, the very first building in the world purposefully built to use electrical lights instead of gas or oil lamps. In fact, it was wired by Thomas Edison himself.
Enough history. We were there in 2001 to celebrate independence day. A lot of military veterans live in Coronado, so it's one of the more appropriate venues for this celebration. Bill and Joann were there with us. We saw a parade and a Navy Seal demonstration out in the Harbor. That evening we got our fireworks fix and all was well in the world. Here's a few photos from the daytime activities that Bill took.
