Knokke-Heist, Belgium:

Knokke-Heist is a coastal city just a short train ride from Brugge, Belgium. It's a bit colder than the beach cities we're used to in Southern Commiepornia, but it's still very nice. We started this trip in Knokke-Heist and, except for an overnight excursion to Bastogne, we stayed here all week.

Actually, we just stayed in Knokke. It seems Knokke-Heist is a bit like Minneapolis-Saint Paul. For some reason they're tied together, but I couldn't tell you why. In fact Heist isn't really just Heist. It's actually Heist-aan-Zee (Heist on the Sea). So it makes perfect sense to call it Knokke-Heist, right? Well, maybe if you're drunk. No matter, we had fun here - wherever we were.
