Fall 2008 - Four Weeks in Italy
Cinque Terre Villages & Coastline Hiking Trail

Cinque Terre:

Day Eleven - Cinque Terre Villages:

A free day to roam the Cinque Terre villages. Pam, Debbie Wayne and I took a train down to Village number one - Riomaggiore. From there, we hiked back along the cliffs above the coast to Manarola, then Corniglia and Vernazza, spending some time at all these unique villages.

After lunch in Corniglia and some vitamin "G" in Vernazza, we opted out of hiking the last leg to Monterosso. Actually Pam was too tired and I didn't want to overwork her. Yeah, that's the ticket.

The Cinque Terre area is quite beautiful and peaceful. I could go back. There's a lot of good information about the Cinque Terre coast at Cinque Terre online.
