Nice Bike, Just Too Frickin' Fast for Comfort

This Bike's a Rocket:

Water-Cooled Honda CR500:

I got this bike to replace my air-cooled CR500 with a more modern, water-cooled bike. Water cooling makes for more even engine cooling which means tighter clearances, which leads to More Power! Arh, Arh, Arh!!!

What I wasn't ready for was about a 20 percent increase in power. It's just plain scary. Yee Hah! My modifications included a 15-ounce flywheel weight to try to slow it down some and add tractability for my off-road riding style. Didn't slow it down much, but it did help some.

I also added a kick stand and hand guards as I do a lot of woods riding. That, and anybody riding off-road with a motocross bike knows how annoying it is to not have a kickstand when needed. Other than those few modifications, there was nothing major it needed. Just gotta hang on now.
